Lifelink employs professionally qualified counsellors and stress management practitioners and trainers who have extensive experience of working with young people and adults facing a wide range of problems every day.

Professional Standards

Lifelink is a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and COSCA. We ensure that all counselling practitioners (practitioners/senior practitioners) employed by Lifelink are accredited by BACP or have a timetabled schedule to work towards it. Therapeutic staff and volunteers receive regular caseload supervision in line with BACP guidelines, and we are committed to ensuring that all practitioners employed by Lifelink are professionally trained and fully qualified in their field, insured to practice and adhere to the ethics of BACP and the NHSGG&C counselling standards and other ethical bodies appropriate to their therapeutic practice.

Professional Experience

Lifelink is fortunate to have a mature and very experienced team of Counselling and Groupwork practitioners delivering Lifelink services and the remit of this contract. Many have between 2-18 years post qualifying counselling experience and are qualified at a minimum of Diploma level. Our practitioners come from a range of training backgrounds and are trained in CBT and solution focused approaches. In adhering to a holistic philosophy most adopt an integrative approach and will also employ a range of therapeutic perspectives and tools including person Centred, Emotional Literacy and Gestalt, in order to provide the most appropriate service to clients. In addition, some members of the therapeutic team hold qualifications in additional areas of expertise e.g. teacher training and registered ASIST trainers.

Senior Managers and non service delivery staff (Business Support Service Administrators) are qualified in a range of additional skills and/or are members of professional bodies including:

  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAS)
  • Chartered Institute of Personal Development (CIPD)
